Building something on my own is one kind of challenge. Working with a group is another. My leadership experiences have taught me how to listen, communicate, take responsibility, and help a team work toward a shared goal.
Elected Vice President of the Mount Vernon School chapter of the National Honor Society, a national organization founded in 1921 that recognizes high school students for scholarship, service, leadership, and character. As an officer, I help coordinate the chapter's service projects and support its members alongside the rest of the officer team.
Recipient of the 2026 Ron Hill Award for leadership. Named for longtime coach Ron Hill, remembered for the hard work, courage, and selflessness he brought to Mount Vernon athletics. The award is given each year to one athlete per sport who reflects that same spirit.
Selected for Leadership Perimeter's seven-month youth program, which serves roughly 40 students each year from the Atlanta metro area. Program days took me inside local government, businesses, public-safety organizations, and civic groups across the Sandy Springs/Perimeter area.
Help plan and promote teen programs, provide volunteer support, and bring a teen perspective to library programming through monthly advisory board meetings.
